Gifting a Client Can Be Tricky! Let's Simplify It!

As the holiday season rapidly approaches, business owners are frantically trying to come up with gift ideas for their clients. But what is an appropriate gift to give a client? And how much should you spend? Let's simplify it and break it down by category.

First, think about your relationship with the client. If you're close friends outside of work, go ahead and get creative! But if you're just acquaintances, it's best to stick with a more conventional gift. For example, a nice pen or a branded notepad would be appropriate for a business acquaintance.

If you want to give something more personalized, try sending them a handwritten note instead of a physical gift. This will show that you took the time to write them a message specifically tailored to them - and they'll definitely appreciate the effort!

If you're looking for something more substantial than a pen or notepad, think about their interests when choosing a gift. If they love golfing, why not get them some golf balls or tees? Or if they like reading, maybe consider buying them an Amazon Kindle voucher. The key is to choose something that they'll actually use and enjoy - no one wants to receive another useless trinket at Christmas!

In terms of price point, it really depends on your budget and the relationship you have with the client. Stick within your comfort zone - there's no need to blow your entire Christmas budget on one gift!

Whatever route you decide to take, just make sure that your gesture is genuine and from the heart. Clients can always tell when we're trying too hard - so relax and have fun with it! After all, it's the thought that counts :)

Thankfully, with new technology there are companies out there that make gifting seamless between clients and co-workers. Check out GiftEm for an all in one gifting platform that provides countless options to gift those for the season!
